THE VISION OF
Breath of Life Ministries

Apostle Mitchell received the vision for Breath of Life Ministries in 1994.  Many years passed before he would began to recognize that the vision he now possess belonged to him.  He was totally committed to another man's vision; therefore, it took God to show him that what he now possessed was his own.  On October 2000, the first worship service was held in his home located in Rowland, North Carolina with 6 people in attendance.  Over the years the ministry grew and is continuing to grow steadily.  Several times the congregation moved from various locations to where it currently resides.  A weekly radio broadcast has been added and services are held every Sunday.

Life Before
Ministry

Apostle Gregory, a native of Rowland, North Carolina is the 7th of 9 children born to the union of the late Robert and Tommie Jane Mitchell.  He furthered his education by receiving a diploma from Robeson Community College, Lumberton, N.C.  He also attended A&T State University, Greensboro, N.C.  In 2001, he continued his education by receiving a diploma in Theology from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Va.  He is currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Theology.  Apostle Mitchell is a lover of sports and music.  All of his life, he has found great interest in both arts.  Music has been his passion while sports is a way of relaxation.  Apostle Gregory began to play the bass guitar from an early age and played for several years with various gospel groups.  After graduating from High School, God allowed him to experience the dream of his life.  This dream was to become a professional singer.  While singing and playing for a local quartet, God allowed him to meet a professional quartet which gave him such a chance.  He traveled with Howard Hunt (Slim) and the Supreme Angels for several months before realizing that this was not the life he wanted to live.  He thanks God for allowing him to experience this moment in life.  Apostle Mitchell realizes that his true calling is the ministry of the Word.  His life has been revolutionized by the preaching and teaching of the Word.
